With a passion for real estate, interior design & construction have always been a part of us allowing close relationships to be built over the years with many developers, designers and architects. After 5 years of flipping properties, a close friend and designer identified a business line that was not yet untapped in the Caribbean – this line was Mannington. Mannington, then a main supplier of carpets and carpet tiles was a very well-known name in the business and was often specked in projects without any local agents to purchase from. After 7 years as an employee, Ian Hamel-Smith was ready to go off on his own to become an entrepreneur and thus founding Dekking Limited.

Dekking Ltd. which originally started as a one-man operation in a small 10×10 office representing only Mannington, has today branched out to represent Karndean LVT, one of the fastest growing flooring categories in the industry, as well as by Masland, Arima, TREX and many other lines and services to help in all constructions needs. Almost 15 years later, Dekking Limited is successful, renowned and the best of all, has a great team who enjoy what they do.
